• Pretoria to Cape Town African Collage 9 day journey in May
• Cape Town to Dar es Salaam (6100 km) or vice versa 14 day Edwardian safari is operated in January/February, July, and September/October. The journey is characterised by various off-train excursions and is one of the most famous train journeys in the world.

ACCOMMODATION   Pullman, Deluxe or Royal Suites can accommodate up to 2 people in either double or twin beds with air conditioning, writing desk, personal safe and fridge-bar filled with drinks of passengers choice and room service is available 24 hours a day. Bathrooms have a hairdryer and shaver point.

ROOMS   Pullman Suites (7 square metres) are equipped with a sofa-seat during the day which converts to either a double or bunk beds for the evening. They have an ensuite shower room. The Deluxe Suites (11 square metres) have a lounge area and an ensuite shower room. The Royal Suites (16 square metres) have a private lounge area and full bathroom with Victorian bath and separate shower.

In keeping with the spirit of travel of a bygone era there are no radios or TVs on board.

TRAIN FACILITIES

• Two 42 seat Dining Cars serving traditional cuisine using fresh local ingredients (formal evening attire for dinner)
• Small Lounge for smokers next to Observation Car
• Observation Car non-smoking, the last car of the train seating 32
• When numbers dictate, a non-smoking Lounge Car with gift shop at the centre of the train
